Up until now the BMW M2 has served as the compact powerhouse of BMW's lineup. A small coupe with designed to deliver big power, it's been a popular model for drivers who value high performance just as much as they value high style. While the M2 remains a beloved model, BMW is nonetheless replacing it with another car: the BMW M2 Competition. An upgraded version of the M2, the 2019 BMW M2 Competition will bring a swathe of significant upgrades to the table, especially on the performance front. It's not called the "Competition" for nothing, after all. A Bevy of High-Performance Upgrades What exactly will M2 Competition add to the M2's already robust driving experience? Paired with that power is a six-speed manual transmission. An optional seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is also available, for those who want it. If you're reading this as a performance-driven driver, you probably know just how much fun that can all add up to. The new performance coupe will also come with upgrades to its suspension and braking mechanisms. Pulling more components from the M3 and M4 cars, the M2 Competition will have high-performance struts that can help it come to a stop faster than the older M2 ever could. Interior Features The X3 includes interior controls to maximize driver and passenger comfort. 3-zone automatic climate control allows the front and rear seats to set their own temperatures so that everyone can be as comfortable as possible. An available 9.8-inch extension to the panoramic glass moonroof will give passengers the feeling of more room in their vehicle, while the individual adjustments of the backrests in the back actually do increase the available room from 28.7 feet cubed, to 62.7 feet cubed.
