The 2017 BMW 5 Series Touring Wagon shown in Marvel’s Black Widow trailer makes viewers question what to expect in the new Marvel movie which will be released May 1 st, 2020. Previewing a 2017 BMW in the new upcoming movie makes fans question what time period Black Widow will be set in. For those of you who aren’t too familiar with The Avengers, Natasha Romanoff , aka Black Widow, died in the last Avengers movie “Avengers: Endgame.” Black Widow Trailer The Black Widow trailer starts with a Black Widow voiceover. She says she “used to have nothing” until she became a part of the S.H.I.E.L.D and Avengers team. She says they have become her family, “but nothing lasts forever.” What We Can Expect With what Marvel has shared with us, we can assume that the new Black Widow movie will be a prequel. We can predict that the upcoming movie will reveal what happened to Natasha when she was training to become an assassin in Russia and how she switched sides and became a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. After only 12 years and 23 movies Marvel has finally given the people what they wanted; a Black Widow movie. Leonard Hilton McGurr, more commonly known as FUTURA 2000, has teamed up with BMW to design a special edition M2. Futura 2000 The iconic contemporary New York-based artist is known for his mastery of color, concentric forms and kinetic composition. In the late 1960s McGurr found the world to be his canvas. Creating beautiful works of graffiti with an abstract twist on subway passages around New York City, his passion for graffiti art began. Vantablack Material BMW shares with us everything we need to know about the Vantablack BMW X6 in their article Black beast: Vantablack light-absorbing paint meets BMW. Vantablack is not an actual color pigment or paint, it is a coating of carbon nanotubes. These carbon nanotubes can almost completely absorb incident light. When Vantablack material is coated on a object with a deep black background, that object seems to 'disappear,' as the human eye's perception of spatial depth is lost. The human eye views objects coated in Vantablack material to be two-dimensional. For those of you wondering, Vanta stands for vertically aligned carbon nanotube arrays, originally developed for architecture and science. "The Beast" Vantablack has been coated on a BMW X6, making BMW the first manufacturer to test the Vantablack material on a car. Ben Jensen, inventor of the Vantablack pigment and founder of Surrey NanoSystems, says after rejecting multiple carmakers, he found that the BMW X6 was the right vehicle for the Vantablack material to be painted on. The BMW X6 has certain design attributes, like its illuminated kidney grilled and dual headlights & tail lights, that made Jensen believe the vehicle was the perfect fit. BMW M8 GTE Earns Back to Back Daytona GTLM Victories BMW Team RLL won the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Daytona for the second season in a row. John Edwards, Jesse Krohn, Augusto Farfus and Chaz Mostert took victory in the GTLM class at the wheel of the #24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE at D aytona International Speedway. IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship shares with us that from the start, the strongest contenders appeared to be the two Porsche 911 RSR's for Porsche GT Team and the two BMW M8 GTE's for BMW Team RLL. The winning BMW M8 GTE finished first before the two Porsche vehicles which placed in second and third place. The #25 BMW M8 GTE finished in fifth place. BMW Blog shares with us that the E92 BMW M3 V8 is one of the decade's best engines, according to Jalopnik. The E92 BMW M3 is the only M3 to ever be equipped with a V8 engine. This is the last “pure” M3 due to its lack of turbochargers, all-wheel drive and electric power steering. The V8 engine is equipped with a 4.0 liter engine that revs more than 8,200 rpm. Jalopnik list rates the E92 M3’s engine as one of the best engines from the last decade. Technically, the V8 from the E92 BMW M3 isn’t from the last decade, it is from the decade prior. Debuted in 2007, however, it ranked as one of the best engines sold between 201o-2019. Although the BMW M3 placed 11 out of 17, keep in mind it was competing against sensational engines such as Lamborghinis 5.2 liter free-breathing V10 and Lexus LFA’s naturally aspirated V10. BMW’s X1 has been around since 2009, but its second generation dropped in 2016 and has had a few updates for 2020, including a newer appearance and an updated interior. This year, the all-new 2019 Audi Q3 finally replaced the first-generation model which was introduced in 2011. CarandDriver Magazine compared the two to see Which Is the More Compelling Compact SUV. CarandDriver shared with us that “The Audi feels great until you drive the BMW.” Here’s why: Power Both SUV’s feature all-aluminum double-overhead-cam four-cylinder with 2.0 liters of displacement and a turbocharger. Both engines produce the same 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque and are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission with Sport and manual modes. However, the BMW’s 2.0-liter engine is the sportier of the two. It revs higher—all the way up to 7000 rpm—and it sounds better than the Audi’s engine. CarandDriver prefer the X1’s eight-speed automatic engine because it is more responsive and changes gears more quickly with more precision. On the Track Audi’s new 2019 Q3 is now about an inch longer and wider and about 200 pounds heavier than the BMW.  On the track, the lighter BMW hits 60 mph in 5.7 seconds which is 1.5 seconds quicker than the Audi. The BMW flies through a quarter mile in 14.4 seconds at 96 mph compared to Audi at 15.6 seconds at 91 mph. Gas Mileage The BMW gets considerably better gas mileage, with EPA ratings of 23 mpg city and 31 mph highway versus Audi’s 19 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. Space The Audi has an overall larger interior space; with more elbow room up front and a much larger rear seat. The BMW’s interior space falls short with its legroom in the back seats. However, the BMW offers more cargo space, with 27.1 cubic feet versus the Audi’s 23.7. The BMW has lots of extra storage under the trunk floor because it is fitted with run-flat tires, so there isn’t a spare tire aboard as there is in the Q3. Interior Design The BMW’s interior feels more premium than the Audi’s. The BMW was designed with higher quality controls and has less hard plastic. Like stated before, CarandDriver came to the conclusion that “The Audi feels great until you drive the BMW.” Its powertrain and chassis are much better compared to the Audi’s. Although it lacks in space compared to the Audi’s, it is constructed with higher quality and better materials. It is more fuel efficient, and has greater cargo volume.
