Powerful, responsive, and turbocharged, the popular BMW 3-series is a dynamic luxury sedan. Car and Driver Magazine shares with us their review of the 3-series in their article 2020 BMW 3-Series. Last year BMW only offered the 330i and for the 2020 year, that model remains ultimately the same. The 330i is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Some new features include Standard Live Cockpit Plus Navigation System, Standard Connected Package Plus, BMW Remote Services which includes stolen-vehicle recovery, remote door unlock, BMW Connected App, and Concierge Services. The Premium Package now includes a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, head-up display, Live Cockpit Professional, and Connected Package Professional. BMW now offers the M340i which is powered by a six-cylinder engine that produces more power, sharper handling, and better performance. Performance The 2020 BMW 330i is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 255 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive 330i xDrive hits 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. The 2020 BMW M340i is equipped with a turbocharged inline-six that produces 382 horsepower and, with rear-wheel drive, hits 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. Every 2020 BMW 3-series is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission with Sport and Manual mode. Car and Driver Magazine share that this automatic transmission is one of the best automatics they’ve ever experienced. They also share that, in their opinion, the all-wheel-drive 330i xDrive offers the best combination of luxury, performance, and value. Fuel Economy The 2020 BMW 3-series has some of the highest fuel-economy numbers in its class. The rear-wheel-drive 330i delivers an estimated 26 mpg city/34 mpg highway. With all-wheel drive, those numbers decrease to 24 mpg city/34 mpg highway. With either rear- or all-wheel drive, the M340i is estimated at 22 mpg city/30 mpg highway. Interior Due to its increased size, the 2020 BMW 3-series offers an extremely spacious interior with more headroom and legroom. Front seats have been designed with more shoulder room. With the supportive and adjustable Standard sport seats, users experience a more comfortable ride. The power-operated sunroof and split 40/20/40 folding rear seats come standard. The 3-series also offers 17 cubic feet of space which allows for more cargo room. Technology Every 2020 BMW 330i comes with an 8.8-inch touchscreen that can also be controlled with voice commands or knobs/buttons that are located on the center console. Upgrade to the Live Cockpit Pro package which upgrades the infotainment to 10.25-inches and BMW’s iDrive system. Apple CarPlay comes standard however Android Auto is not available. Other additional features include wireless charging, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Gesture Control. Safety Forward-collision warning and daytime pedestrian detection come standard on the 2020 BMW 3-series. Additional options include lane-departure warning, active cruise control, active blind-spot detection, rear-collision protection, and cross-traffic alert. The second-generation BMW 4-series coupe will launch worldwide this upcoming fall. The BMW i3 and BMW i8 are getting ready to welcome in a new electric model to their EV family. BMW is expanding their EV portfolio with an electric sedan that is said to have a 530 horsepower electric motor and an 80.0-kWh battery pack. Based on the 3-series, the brand's most popular model, the all-new 2021 BMW i4 electric sedan is expected to go on sale sometime in 2021. Utilize Soap and Water When it comes to fighting germs, using soap and water is highly recommended when cleaning your vehicle’s interior. Autoblog shares with us that the trick is to avoid any cleaners that are labeled as being free of detergents. For those with leather interiors, makeup removal wipes are a great alternative. Now that may sound a bit odd but, skin care products usually contain moisturizers which is great for organic trim materials. Be aware of which cleaning products you will be using to clean the inside of your vehicle. Staying clean and getting rid of germs is extremely important right now, however you do not want to ruin the interior of your car! Scrub Your Interior Use disinfectant wipes or soapy water to thoroughly scrub the hard surfaces inside of your vehicle. Don’t Forget About High-Touch Surfaces Areas like door handles, audio controls, seatbelts, mirrors, climate controls, steering wheels, etc. should be cleaned extremely well since these areas are frequently touched. Don't forget to clean the touch-screen infotainment system if you have one in your BMW! Soft Surfaces The CDC recommends using a cleaner that is appropriate for whatever material is being cleaned. For example, if you are cleaning leather, you would want to use a Leather Cleaner or Vinyl Cleaner. For vehicle carpets and upholstery, it would be wise to use carpet or upholstery cleaner. The BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 BMWM shares with us stunning photos and everything we need to know about The BMW M2 by Futura 2000. Iconic contemporary New York-based artist FUTURA 2000 has teamed up with BMWM and created three exclusive versions of the BMW M2 Competition, redesigning both the inside and outside of the vehicle, in his own unique style. These hand-painted, exclusive models made their world premiere at the second Frieze Los Angeles Art Fair in Hollywood February 13-16. On top of the three exclusive original designs, FUTURA 2000 also created a limited-edition series version labeled as the BMW M2 Edition designed by FUTURA 2000. The BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 Exterior Design A total of 3-4 layers of paint coated the black based color BMW M2. The BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 is layered with sparkling white dots and lightning-like lines. Circular saw blade silhouettes are also painted throughout the exterior design of the BMW M model. FUTURA 2000 highlights the BMW M2 Competition sports cars overall rebellious character through his choice of colors, placement, and design. Through an elaborate, extensive process, FUTURA 2000 expresses his unique style with hand-painted circular saw blades. The Interior The abstract design of the BMW M2 continues throughout the interior. FUTURA 2000 hand-painted the interior trims on the instrument panel and center console. Two-tone Dakota leather M sports seats in black and ivory white with contrasting Polar Blue seams set a subtle accent to the models overall interior. BMW M2 Edition Designed by FUTURA 2000 In addition to the three exclusive BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000, the BMW M2 Edition designed by FUTURA 2000 (pictured above on the right) makes for a limited edition series inspired by the project. The BMW Art Car Project was introduced in 1975 by the French racecar driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain, who wanted to invite an artist to create a canvas on an automobile.
