Happy Father’s Day Weekend from Competition BMW!

June 16th, 2022 by

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19th, and Competition BMW has you covered for all of the men in your life! The local weather stations are reporting a beautiful, hot weekend from Bay Shore to Ridge! It will be a gorgeous weekend to spend with family, friends and that special father figure in your life.

Quality time is one of the five love languages and Competition BMW suggests this route first and foremost for the father figures in your life. Long Island’s versatile culture makes finding wholesome moments easier! A quaint walk on one of the multiple beaches found on Long Island would be great as the summer sun stays out later. Competition BMW’s personal recommendation is The Kings Park Bluff in Kings Park. The ease of access for Smithtown residents makes this a nice location for an after-dinner stroll with a sunset that never disappoints.

Another local recommendation is Robert Moses Beach. A large part of local fathers may find this spot nostalgic, as it has a strong history on Long Island. Robert Moses Beach is great for those father figures who want to relax under an umbrella listening to the waves, or for those who aren’t afraid to jump into the Atlantic Ocean head first!

They say a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, Competition BMW’s first restaurant recommendation is to help solidify that place in his heart! The first restaurant recommendation is Nicky’s On The Bay in Bay Shore. This restaurant is right on the south shore of Long Island, surrounded by water views from the Great South Bay and Bay Shore Marina. Fittingly, it features a fish-centric menu, with indoor or outdoor seating, 100’ floating dock and gas station. The first entree is recommended by a local Huntington Father, the Braised Short Ribs. Although it isn’t from their seafood menu, men will be satisfied with the portion sizes; it comes with mashed potatoes, roasted carrots and a red wine demi-glaze. We recommend Nicky’s On The Bay for those fisherman fanatic fathers! After spending the morning and afternoon on the boat, the entire family can tie-off on Nicky’s dock and laugh and bond over a meal with the whole family!

The second restaurant that we recommend taking your favorite father figure to is Relish in Hauppauge. The entree we recommend has a perfectly fitting title, “Hungry Man Hero”. The Hungry Man Hero is on their breakfast and lunch menu, and is recommended by a local Commack father, my Father, Ken, who has been residing in Commack, Long Island for the entirety of his 60 years. This local Commackian describes Relish in Hauppauge as “unbelievable and very reasonably priced!” The Hungry Man Hero comes with three eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, and homefries. The portion was almost too much for Ken, making the Hungry Man Hero perfect for that special man in your life.

If staying in is more your celebration style, we recommend Foo Luck in Commack. Foo Luck has been stationed in Commack on Commack Road since 1985. Competition BMW can personally recommend the Roast Pork Fried Rice and the Chicken Lo Mein. Foo Luck is a great option, the employees are kind and efficient and when picking up your order, the warmth from the food radiates through the bag! This is a great option for father figures of all ages to enjoy while ordering enough food to be satisfied.

If gathering together over a meal is not the focal point of your Father’s Day, try spending some quality time and vocalizing how important the men in your life are! We also suggest making handwritten cards; no matter your age, the father figure in your life will know it came from your heart! Father’s Day does not have to be intricate, even buying that special father figure a beer at one of the local Long Island breweries will create memories that last a lifetime!

Ghost Brewing Company, located in the Great South Bay Brewery, is a great option! Ghost Brewing Co. is showing their support for father figures by having a sponsored event between 1pm-6pm on Sunday, June 19th. This special event includes serving a three course meal and beer or cocktail of their choice for $39.95! What a great deal! Whoever you’d like to bring would get to enjoy your company, a beer or cocktail of their choice, an appetizer, a delicious meal from several options, and a sweet dessert finale!

Another great option is purchasing a BMW Ultimate Care or Ultimate Care+ plan through Competition BMW! Men of all ages will appreciate this gift of 3 years of oil and filter changes for the low price of $199*! The Ultimate Care+ plan includes oil and filter changes/replacements, as well as replacement of specific wear-and-tear items such as brake pads, wiper blades and the manual transmission clutch. The Ultimate Care+ plan is transferable as well, keeping the maintenance plan in the family if the car does as well! While your stunning BMW is in the shop, the father figure in your life can spend more time focusing on his hobbies and errands instead of considering the potential price break-down.

From the Competition BMW family to yours, we wish you a happy and safe Father’s Day Weekend! However you chose to celebrate, we hope this weekend is fulfilling and full of fun!
