I had a 12:00 PM appointment with Adam. My initial appointment was at 11:00 AM, but Adam called me to move it at 12:00. I was at BMW at 12:00 and I notified the front desk. I was waiting with my wife for 50 minutes. At 12:50 we decided to leave. Neither Adam nor another person came to update us to why there was such a delay. Very unprofessional!
They are disorganized and Not customer focused. They are Dishonest and misleading. The customer is often reminded that they are just dollar signs. There is no real evidence to show they care. The customer is not listened to and twice trash from service was left in the vehicle.
Great service! Steve Ferchak was an incredible service advisor I would not only come back for future services but purchase my next BMW here the experience was so great. I didn’t have an appointment but had a check engine light suddenly come on - they took me in right away on a Saturday, completed an oil change that needed to be done, plus fix the issue that was causing the check engine light go off. On a recent visit to my local BMW dealership, I had the following experience.
Mohammad Sultan, the “sales manager” that had to approve my trade in and an order for a new car was nothing but rude and insulting. He spoke to me like I was a child that knew nothing about BMW or cars in general and offered me $8,000 less for my trade in, which is a 2021 BMW with 9300 miles and in near perfect condition. I tried to order a new 230i from Competition BMW and it was a complete waste of time. The sales rep did not know his BMW products and when I asked him to check into Performance Center Delivery he refused and told me I was wrong. Just a horrible experience!!!! Competition BMW in Smithtown is by far one of the best dealerships in New York. I previously dealt with the Freeport NY dealership and did not have the service and professionalism that the Smithtown location has. I got a same grade loaner car. BTW my car is an 8 series. And even tho my car was only in for an oil change. They took care of replacing a tire, fixing my rims and repairing a item under the car. Purchased tires and had oil change done. Competitive pricing - less than Mavis- for tires. Service advisor provided options and kept me up to date on progress of the work. Overall, very satisfied.
Ken is our service manager, he is very knowledgeable and has been taking care our two cars for many years (since our previous service manager left). We especially appreciate it that he often spends extra time and effort to see task through completion. He is excellent at communication. Unlike others, Ken does not pushing customers for unnecessary repairs.

After many dealers that just didn't care about customer service, unplanned I ended up at Competition BMW due to a friend who was looking to a lease BMW. Anna Jastrzebska was our client advisor and she was terrific; kind, funny, personable, and fantastic so much so that my friend leased the car from the dealership and even though I already had a deposit at another dealership I canceled my order and switched to Competition BMW.

Service is terrible. Towing took 24 hours and they showed up with a car and a landscaping trailer for my M Car!!!!! It took 6 days to change a tire with no loaner car after saying that they had the tire in stock. After getting the car back, it was flat again over night, took another week to get the car. Now, with less than 100 miles on the car, the tire is bad again, hence the towing. My experience with Competition BMW has been exceptional. Manny ordered my 2022 M3 just before Thanksgiving 2021. As most are aware , new car orders were delayed due an assortment of supply chain setbacks. I was grateful that Manny gave me status updates throughout the waiting period. I was thrilled when he told me it had been built and was being prepared for shipment. I received my new car at my front door soon after Valentine’s Day. And it was delivered to my specifications. Manny and Competition BMW exceeded my expeditions!
