The BMW logo has gone through a handful of changes ever since their first logo back in 1917. BMW just recently redesigned their logo, and its new design is seen as the biggest redesign the brand has ever had. The new BMW logo retains the same shape, the middle still has the same blue and white colors, however, the font has been shaped differently and the outer ring now has a flat design in white. Jens Thiemer, Senior Vice President Customer & Brand BMW, explains “The new communication logo radiates openness and clarity. With this new transparent variant, we want to invite our customers more than ever to become part of the BMW world.” With the introduction of the all electric BMW Concept i4 electric car, the brands new look stands for the mobility of the future and marks the start of the electric revolution at BMW. In addition, Thiemer explains, “our new brand design is geared to the challenges and opportunities of Digitization for brands. The BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 BMWM shares with us stunning photos and everything we need to know about The BMW M2 by Futura 2000. Iconic contemporary New York-based artist FUTURA 2000 has teamed up with BMWM and created three exclusive versions of the BMW M2 Competition, redesigning both the inside and outside of the vehicle, in his own unique style. These hand-painted, exclusive models made their world premiere at the second Frieze Los Angeles Art Fair in Hollywood February 13-16. On top of the three exclusive original designs, FUTURA 2000 also created a limited-edition series version labeled as the BMW M2 Edition designed by FUTURA 2000. The BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 Exterior Design A total of 3-4 layers of paint coated the black based color BMW M2. The BMW M2 by FUTURA 2000 is layered with sparkling white dots and lightning-like lines. Circular saw blade silhouettes are also painted throughout the exterior design of the BMW M model. FUTURA 2000 highlights the BMW M2 Competition sports cars overall rebellious character through his choice of colors, placement, and design. Through an elaborate, extensive process, FUTURA 2000 expresses his unique style with hand-painted circular saw blades. The Interior The abstract design of the BMW M2 continues throughout the interior. FUTURA 2000 hand-painted the interior trims on the instrument panel and center console. Two-tone Dakota leather M sports seats in black and ivory white with contrasting Polar Blue seams set a subtle accent to the models overall interior. Marvel normally uses new extremely luxurious cars in their new Avenger movies, like the Acura NSX Concept featured in The Avengers or the Audi R8 featured in the Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Previewing a 2017 BMW in the new upcoming movie makes fans question what time period Black Widow will be set in. For those of you who aren’t too familiar with The Avengers, Natasha Romanoff , aka Black Widow, died in the last Avengers movie “Avengers: Endgame.” Black Widow Trailer The Black Widow trailer starts with a Black Widow voiceover. She says she “used to have nothing” until she became a part of the S.H.I.E.L.D and Avengers team. She says they have become her family, “but nothing lasts forever.” What We Can Expect With what Marvel has shared with us, we can assume that the new Black Widow movie will be a prequel. We can predict that the upcoming movie will reveal what happened to Natasha when she was training to become an assassin in Russia and how she switched sides and became a S.H.I.E.L.D agent. After only 12 years and 23 movies Marvel has finally given the people what they wanted; a Black Widow movie. We can only guess that the movie will be set between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War. But then again, we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves. BMW M8 GTE Earns Back to Back Daytona GTLM Victories BMW Team RLL won the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Daytona for the second season in a row. John Edwards, Jesse Krohn, Augusto Farfus and Chaz Mostert took victory in the GTLM class at the wheel of the #24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE at D aytona International Speedway. Have you heard that BMW will be releasing the first-ever 2-Series Gran Coupe here in the United States? Well, it is true and at Competition BMW of Smithtown, we can not wait to welcome it! Created to get the most out of every journey, the BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe sets a new tone for distinction and athleticism for premium compact vehicles around the world. With its new style and space, the first-ever BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe combines the sportiness and dynamism of a coupe with the spaciousness and utility of a sedan. As the owner of a BMW, it’s important to maintain the quality of the car to ensure that it continues to have appeal over time. If you take care of leather, you’ll get an extremely comfortable and beautiful seating surface that makes your BMW a cut above other vehicle interiors. A comfortable interior makes traveling more pleasant all the way around, keeps your BMW looking new and vibrant, and gives the interior seating a longer lifespan. At Competition BMW of Smithtown, we want to help you keep your interior clean by listing ways to make it as easy as possible. No matter if you have cloth or leather seats, use these step-by-step instructions to keep your ride comfortable during every trip through Nesconset and beyond! How to Clean Leather Car Seats. To get started, you will need the following products: Leather cleaner, saddle soap, mild leather soap, or 1 part white vinegar/2 parts linseed oil solution Microfiber towels Interior brush (soft-bristled, not a stiff carpet brush) Instructions: Before starting, check your owner’s manual for any specific instructions for your model and product recommendations. Vacuum the seats to remove all particles, being sure to not scratch the leather. Use the smaller attachments or an air compressor to get into the cracks. Spray your leather cleaner on the microfiber towel to wipe the seats clean, removing surface dirt and oils. If you have perforated leather seats, spray onto the brush to apply to the seats, gently scrubbing the surface with the brush. Wipe the seats with a dry microfiber towel. How to Clean Fabric Car Seats. You will need: Cleaning solution spray designed for fabric (but not an all-purpose cleaner) Interior brush (soft or medium-stiff bristles, no stiff carpet brushes) Microfiber towels Instructions: Vacuum the seats to remove all dust, dirt, crumbs, and hair. Use the smaller vacuum attachments to get into the cracks and seams of each seat. (If you have a lot of pet hair in your car, you may need to also wipe down the seat with a lint roller or special pet hair removal tool.) Open the doors or windows for ventilation, and then lightly spray the cleaning solution onto the seats. Avoid oversaturating the fabric to prevent mildew issues. Use the interior brush to gently massage the cleaning solution into the fabric. Wipe suds out of the fabric with the microfiber towel. Be sure to work quickly, because if the fabric dries before you do this, the dirt will be pulled back into the fibers. Continue this process until you are satisfied with the condition of your seats. Vacuum the seats once more to accelerate the drying process. Let the seats finish drying before using the car. (Note that cleaning cloth seats will make them damp, so give yourself enough time to clean before your next drive). Alternatives to Fabric Cleaner. If you don’t have any upholstery cleaner accessible, try using these additional cleaning options: Baking Soda: Mix ¼ cup of baking soda and 1 cup of warm water together, using a toothbrush to scrub out tough stains. After scrubbing, let sit for 30 minutes, then use a clean cloth or towel to blot away the stain. Vinegar: Combine1 cup of vinegar, a few drops of dish soap, and a gallon of hot water. Dab onto the seats and scrub with a brush. Use clean water and a microfiber towel to remove the dirt and suds. Club Soda: Use a spray bottle to apply a light layer of club soda to the fabric, and a soft-bristle brush to scrub out the stains. Be sure to wipe away the dirt as it comes to the surface. Laundry Detergent: Mix detergent with hot water and apply the solution with a spray bottle or sponge. Use cold water on a microfiber cloth to scrub and wipe the dirt away.
