The King Fights Cancer Foundation The King Fights Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization with origins starting in Queens, New York. Created in honor of their son, King Singh, as well as his siblings, the King Fights Cancer Foundation is dedicated to aiding families of children with life-threatening illnesses. King was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia and a rare, incurable blood disease at the age of 2. During his 3+ years of intense daily chemotherapy, King was unmoving in his optimism. After one of his routine accessessments, King was given an option of being rewarded with either bubbles or a sticker, choosing the bubbles. Unknown to King, another patient had him under her gaze. As King was leaving the doctor's room, ready to blow bubbles, another patient began crying and pointing, requesting his bubbles. Unlike many young children, especially those who are in pain, King immediately and selflessly gave his new toy to her! Through King's unbridled consideration and generosity for others, the founders of the King Fights Cancer Foundation already the inspiration to create these special giving moments for other children all along! To our customers, Like so many of you, we have spent the last several days and weeks learning about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it is impacting our world. For Competition BMW of Smithtown, that means understanding how it affects our employees, customers and communities, and then making the necessary adjustments to our work and operations. We have one simple objective that guides us: keeping you and our employees safe. This has been at the center of our conversations every step of the way. With that in mind, we have made several moves in our business in response to the threat of the coronavirus. We have ramped up cleaning services at our stores and are adding hand sanitizer at the front entrances and at all cash registers. Sanitizing wipes are near workstations and counters so that employees can keep them continuously cleaned. We are closely following the Centers for Disease Control's (CDC) guidelines and recommendations on the steps we can take to help prevent the spread of the virus. We have shared specific instructions with our employees on the importance of washing their hands and staying home if they feel sick or are returning from an area of the world identified as posing a coronavirus-related risk. Per CDC recommendations, we will ask employees who have traveled to such locations or have been exposed to others who have traveled to such locations to self-quarantine for 14 days. A strict travel policy for our employees is in place, and we have canceled meetings with large gatherings, again to do what we can to help prevent the spread of the illness. BMW M8 GTE Earns Back to Back Daytona GTLM Victories BMW Team RLL won the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Daytona for the second season in a row. John Edwards, Jesse Krohn, Augusto Farfus and Chaz Mostert took victory in the GTLM class at the wheel of the #24 MOTUL BMW M8 GTE at D aytona International Speedway. IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship shares with us that from the start, the strongest contenders appeared to be the two Porsche 911 RSR's for Porsche GT Team and the two BMW M8 GTE's for BMW Team RLL. The winning BMW M8 GTE finished first before the two Porsche vehicles which placed in second and third place. The #25 BMW M8 GTE finished in fifth place.
