One of the largest sedan in the market, there is much to expect in the 2020 BMW 7-Series. It has undergone a few major changes from its previous lineup last year, with a more majestic appearance, improved engine performance, luxury and comfort.
The 2020 Lexus LC Hybrid has won over many people over its good looks, great quality, better fuel economy, and transmission. The most striking trait is its almost perfect balance with performance and fuel economy.
Design & Style
With more defined LED headlights, a new range of 18-20 inch alloy wheels and re-designed front fenders, the sedan achieves an aggressive aesthetic. The interior is as alluring as the exterior is aggressive. Better yet, the sedan is designed with the comfort of all passengers in mind, hence it can sit up to five people with a spacious 44.4 inch legroom and taller passengers can lean back with ease. There are four large doors, hence passengers at the back to board the car with ease. You can customize the interior design with various types of leather, color, and even stitching style.
The exterior of the Lexus LC Hybrid is elegant and assertive due to its hourglass-shaped grille, angular LED headlamps, low slung body and 20 inch wheels. Its size is grand too, but a weakness is that its heavy. However, the interior is not as spacious as the exterior. It is a four-seater, but the process of getting in and out of this coupe is tiring and uncomfortable that it can only sit two people at the front.
Technology & Safety
Carrying the iDrive 7.0 infotainment software, there are a lot of things to look forward to in the 2020 BMW 7-Series in terms of technology features. It is loaded with plenty of reliable interfaces that are ever reliable as usual. It comes with a multi-functioning steering wheel, dynamic cruise control, 20-way power adjustable seats, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and their safety features includes a lane-change assist, semi-autonomous driving functionality, pre-collision safety system and more.
In the case of the 2019 Audi A4, you can look forward to its luxury features like a sunshade glass roof, a full color LCD multimedia 10.3 inch display screen, but its missing an integrated navigation system and interface that support the driver while on the road, as well as the Android Auto. The safety features are standard, such as blind-spot monitoring, lane departure, lane-keep assistance and a standard ten-airbag system.
Performance
The BMW 7-Series has a range of engines with different power levels and with the same eight-speed automatic transmission, starting from the lowest turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six that can already produce an amount of 335 horsepower for the 740i, up to a 6.6-liter V12 powertrain, producing a whooping amount of 600 horsepower. For the Lexus LC Hybrid, its 3.5-litr V6 engine produces a maximum of 354 horsepower, falling short of the maximum amount of 600 horsepower from the BMW 7-Series.
The Bottom Line
The Lexus LC Hybrid is a beautiful car and also one of the safest cars on the road. Though its infotainment system is not the best, it is good enough. However, when it comes to the comfort of you and your passengers, driver assist features and engine performance, the BMW 7-Series is better.
