The BMW X7 boasts of the 7th generation iDrive infotainment system equipped with large and sharp screens, graphics that are appealing as well as a variety of input options. It not only comes with a great rearview camera that offers 3D and 360-degree view but also has improved outward visibility.
The 2019 Ford Expedition has the SYNC 3 infotainment system. While this system allows for Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi connectivity and wireless charging, the screen is an average 8.0-inch. Its safety features are somewhat similar to those of the BMW X7. However, the 3D view is not available on the 2019 Ford Expedition. Outward visibility is also not as good as that of the BMW X7.
Performance
The BMW X7 is fitted with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine. This enables the X7 to produce an amazing horsepower of 445 and 479lb-ft of torque. The 2019 Ford Expedition is powered by the 3.5-liter with a horsepower of 375 and 470lb-ft of torque. This is lower than the horsepower produced by the engine of the BMW X7. It gets a rate of 17mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
The Bottom Line
The 2019 Ford Expedition has features that are appealing to car owners but the BMW X7 is a better SUV. This is due to the materials in the interior as well as the high-end tech incorporated.
