2019 BMW M2 came along with serious upgrades. The model ditched the old single turbo, 365 horsepower cherished by its predecessor in the M family in favor of a more powerful 405 horsepower twin-turbo V8 3.0 liter inline which is also what the M4 currently uses. The entire chassis was upgraded complete with a gorgeous yet sturdy carbon filter strut brace from bigger M cars in the family. Enlarged brakes and suspension also made news as prominent features as soon as the 2019 BMW M2 was launched.
Then there is the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. It looks decent from a distance. The only downside it comes along though is the fact that it prioritizes elegance over safety and comfort. It also performs averagely well but it is, by all means, a fuel guzzler.
Design & Style
You’ll first notice conspicuous seatbelts once inside the 2019 BMW M2. The seatbelts are sturdy as you would expect. However, it is the tricolor M stripes that make the easy to notice. You’ll also notice a steering wheel with programmable buttons for easy driving as well as supple leather seats for your comfort. Outside, dark kidney grilles, intricately designed fascias and an over impressive aesthetic appeal great you.
It is easy to describe 2019 Chevrolet Blazer as far as design and style are concerned. The Chevy boasts of spacious back seats as well as plentiful interior cubby space. But then again it also comes along with interior materials that can only be described as subpar.
Technology & Safety
BMW’s iDrive infotainment system will redefine your driving experience in the 2019 BMW M2. It works through an 8.8” touchscreen complete with a clean interface and quick response times. You also get to enjoy Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, dual USB ports and Bluetooth. Safety features include forward-collision warning, pedestrian detection, automated emergency braking and full suit airbags.
A fully stocked infotainment system is perhaps the only major highlight here. There are of course USB dual ports and wireless charging. It is worth noting that the 2019 Chevrolet Blazer automated braking system has been described by many as unreliable.
The 2019 BMW M2 is an odd bird. Rather than joining its siblings in the M line as a track-ready trim gift, it flat out replaces the base model with key and noticeable upgrades. It boasts of bigger brakes, a new fascia and revised suspension. Its N55 3.0 liter turbocharged I6 engine churns out 365 hp and as much as 343 ft of torque making it quick and agile.
The Bottom Line
2019 BMW M2 embraces simplicity without sacrificing power, torque and agility. It is light, fast, safe and aesthetically appealing – sizeable yet compact with better handling and fuel efficiency you will certainly love. It gets even better with the tech extras that the car comes along with for easy driving.
Subtle yet basic aspects of driving like agility and cornering are not guaranteed with 2019 Chevrolet Blazer. Like said, the car prioritizes elegance over safety and comfort. It leaves you second-guessing too on impact braking when driving at top speed.
