The BMW M5 Touring is Setting Sail to the US Market!

Carefully disguised for now, the 7th generation of the BMW M5 will cross the pond over to the United States of America for the first time ….

AS A TOURING VARIANT! 

The news of an American BMW M5 arrival shouldn’t be a surprise for the BMW superfans, like Competition BMW and our #CompetitionBMWFam! The speedy BMW M5 Touring taking a permanent vacation to the United States comes trailing behind on the coattails of the impressive BMW M3 Touring awarded as TopGear.com‘s “All The Car You’ll Ever Need!”

There are currently TWO BMW Touring vehicles pre-existing overseas, the BMW 5 Series E34 and E61:

Competition BMW is especially eager to welcome the BMW M5 Touring, our newest foreign-born, spacious and innovative friend! Not to cause drama in the paddock of impressive BMW M menances, but, the BMW M5 Touring is one of the anticipated vehicles to keep an eye out for during the year of 2024! 

BMW has been breaking mold after mold, from their color-changing, adaptable concept vehicles, achievement of Top Overall Car Brand during 2023, announcement of the limited edition, newly unveiled BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition, and the ALL-NEW 2024 BMW X2 M35i coming to our Saint James showroom any day now, our dealership located near Smithtown, Kings Park and Shoreham, New York, is hot on BMW of America’s heels while we await the second generation of the BMW M5 (Originally only presented as a BMW sedan!) 

First seen as a Touring model in 2007, the newest BMW M wagon touts massive storage capabilities. As a head-turning, heart-racing BMW M vehicle, it delivers a real treat: a hyper-fun M Hybrid drivetrain. Its precisely tuned chassis will utilize a hybrid drive system, confirms Dirk Häcker, Head of Development at BMW M.

This drivetrain decision implements technology closely related to the drivetrain found within the breath-taking BMW M Hybrid V8 GTP race car.

 Despite knowing all of this, seeing the physical, actual BMW M5 Touring has not been completely unveiled and showcased yet. However, testing on the first prototypes can be seen embedded below, throughout our Competition BMW blog, as well as on autobahns around Munich, Germany, and in Garching, Germany, north of Munich at BMW M’s headquarters. With rigorous experimentation and research, the integration of the BMW M5 Touring, BMW M engineers have begun their last, big, BMW M testing:
