#CompetitionCares: Meet Tim

Competition BMW of Smithtown is wordlessly proud to have the opportunity to consistently service Long Island, New York. Our auto group, Competition Automotive Group, is based on familiar foundations, a close-knitted atmosphere and flourishing relationships within our staff members and beloved community. We are honored to always aid our immediate home, Smithtown, Saint James and Lake Grove, as well as the entirety of Long Island, the tri-state area and the country! From hosting our first in-house events: the BMW i7 and BMW X7 Launch Event and the BMW Electric Showcase Event, to giving every employee a frozen turkey for Thanksgiving, to delivering gorgeous BMW vehicles to all Long Island residents and beyond!

Meet Tim

Meet Tim. Tim is a local Long Island resident. Tim has been getting around Long Island without a vehicle, or a license, for several years. 9 years to be exact. Tim has been unable to drive for almost a full decade due to his need of a wheelchair-accessible van. Coincidentally, our dealership principal, Joe, was casually driving along the local Ronkonkoma, Blue Point and Ridge roads when fate led him to Tim. Tim was also enjoying the local Long Island area. Tim was also driving to Starbucks. Differing from Mr. Buzzetta, Tim was not traveling in a vehicle, he was taking strides in his remote wheelchair.

As fate would have it, Joe had his father’s, and deceased founder’s, handicap-accessible 2020 Honda Odyssey van on hand. Competition Auto Group and Competition BMW are indescribably proud to donate Joe Buzzetta Sr.’s wheelchair-accessible van to Tim!

Tim is so excited to gain back access to his license, and most importantly, a grander scale of independence! We cannot thank Competition Automotive Group, the Buzzetta family and their partners for coming together to recognize a persevering local Long Islander!
