About Manorville, NY

Manorville is a census-designated place in Suffolk County, with a population of around 14000. For many years, it used to be a small farming community. The area was once within a zone of land known as St George Manor, and a station was built with the same name. However, the station agent, Seth Raynor did not like the name owing to its British origin, and he decided to remove ‘St George’ from the name. With the opening of first post office in 1907, the name of the hamlet was changed to ‘Manorville’.
